Details

The new Tornado is a venture into an area few other manufacturers dare to go - high tensile, high strength parasols.

Available ex stock in 2.8m Square and 4.2m Square sizes, complete with white or cream Ferrari PVC fabric, other colours available to order.

Frame structure manufactured from 304 stainless steel the Tornado is designed to be left up and open all year round (well, except possibly the one or two times in the year when we get the very extreme weather!)

The Tornado is fitted with market leading Ferrari PVC fabric which provides the added benefit of being fire retardant.

For special projects the frame can be manufactured in high grade 316 stainless steel. Please contact Global Parasols directly for further details.

Installation

We strongly recommend that this parasol is installed in the ground, using ground tubes, this will provide the best stability for the product and ensure that it is available for use year-round.

Whatever weight of traditional parasol base, used as an alternative to the ground tube is not going to provide adequate support to a parasol expected to withstand high wind.

Durable enough to be left out all year round, strong enough to withstand every day use.

Heating, lighting and electrical options

Electrics can also be added by a qualified electrician. We have designed the product with this in mind and it is easy to have electric IR heaters and / or lights fitted to the Tornado. This is be best done prior to installation to ensure that the cables can be hidden correctly.

Heating - We offer high grade Solamagic heaters. There are two options, either 4 individual heaters fitted to the supporting struts or a pole mounted heater system with 2 or 4 heaters attached.

Lighting - Can either be integrated into the roof of the parasol or pole mounted lower down. Both systems use standard GU10 bulbs and should you wish these bulbs can be changed to low wattage LED bulbs or coloured LED bulbs.

Control and switching - We have available wireless, battery less, remote switching technology to be able to independently control the heaters and the lights. This technology can provide users a number of benefits over conventional switching options.

Wireless switches can be placed anywhere, even behind a bar, with no disruption to trade whilst the electrician chases in cables.

No wireless range issues as boosters can be added to increase the range of the transmitter.

Battery less switches - never run out of power.

Other options - as there is no winder mechanism taking up space inside the pole, the potential options for other entertainment systems are almost limitless. Theoretically it is possible to add speaker cable within the parasol and speakers high up inside the canopy. Outdoor LCD screens could be added and mounted to the pole. With careful shielding of any electrical and aerial cables it would be possible to have a TV feed piped directly to a couple of LCD screens mounted onto the centre of the pole - what better outdoor entertainment system?
